Glennon Brothers Proud to Sponsor New Commercial Woodland Award at ‘Scotland’s Finest Woods’ 2025 29/05/2025
At Glennon Brothers, we are delighted to announce our sponsorship of the New Commercial Woodland Award, a key category in the Quality Timber section of this year’s Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards. This sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in forestry and to the sustainable growth of commercial woodlands across Scotland.
As a third-generation family business with over 100 years of experience
in manufacturing high-quality timber products, we understand the vital
role that responsibly managed commercial forests play in securing a
stable timber supply chain. Our sponsorship underscores our belief in
recognising those who are leading the way in creating productive,
high-quality woodland projects.
With operations in Windymains, Troon, Irvine, Invergordon, the Republic
of Ireland and Northern Ireland, Glennon Brothers proudly serves the UK
and Irish markets with construction timber, pallet wood, fencing
products, and timber frame homes. We also produce premium wood pellets
using sustainably sourced, home-grown materials.
Alex Murray, Head of Forestry for Glennon Brothers Scotland,
said:
“We are proud to support the New Commercial Woodland Award and look
forward to the entries this year. A reliable and local supply of quality
timber is fundamental to our business and to the broader construction
sector. It underpins our long-term growth strategy, including the recent
£18 million investment in to our state-of-the-art robotic house building
line at Alexanders Timber Design in Irvine. As we continue to champion
Scottish timber for Scottish homes, the need for high-performing
commercial woodlands has never been greater.”
