Longford win O’Byrne Cup in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park, Tullamore (Longford 1-12, Offaly 0-11)
Longford are the O’Byrne Cup Champions, following a decisive win over Offaly in Tullamore last Saturday 18th January. Having overcome Dublin, the previous week, selectors, Paul Barden, Donal Ledwith and manager Padraic Davis who were part of the winning team 20 years ago, said Longford would ‘give it their best shot’ going into the game against Offaly, and what a shot it was!
